je lui ai demande de s explique sur les problemes recurents
voici sa réponse
Hi Sebastien
Flat4online is slightly different from a lot of other companies.
The main focus, is to save customers as much money as possible when they pay for parts and to offer as wide a range as possible.
In order to save customers as much as possible, one of the main areas we can attract customers is by offering free postage/delivery.
The delivery service I use is Royal Mail for free delivery.
Royal Mail is our postal service here in the UK.
Using this service, around 90% of orders will arrive in France/Europe on time and without problem.
The problems begin when a parcel does not arrive after around 5 days.
The tracking numbers are not like DHL tracking numbers, all the Royal Mail one says is your parcel has been posted, or the tracking will be updated shortly.
So in effect, we cant actualy track the parcel when we need to, we rely on and trust Royal Mail and the postal agent in France/Europe to deliver the parcels in good time.
All Royal Mail advise is to make a claim with them in 30 days if the parcel has not arrived which is not very good for anyone.
A lot of companies in the Uk will not send to France and Europe simply becuase of this, but Flat4online will takes the chance for our customers and always support our customers whenever there is a problem.
The main problem for me is, if a parcel does not arrive with the customer, then I need to send out another order or refund the payment.
Its not a problem to resend or refund, this is what the customer is entitled to, the problem is it can make it difficult for me, becuase I need to find the additional money to either refund the payment or ship the new order.
Smaller orders are less of a problem, but when it comes to more expensive items, then im sure you can see where it might be a problem.
Ive used just every courier there is, Ive shipped using Fedex, UPS, DHL, Royal Mail and Parcel Force.
The only delivery company ive never experienced a problem with, is UPS.
Ive had large Plasma screens smashed by DHL, full 2.5 engines go missing, injectors, fuel pumps, pistons......
I had some pistons I send to a customer in France via DHL last year were not delivered and returned to me 6 months later!
I think telling you these details does not look very good, but on the other hand, I want it to show my comitment to my customers and honesty to work with you and all problems untill they are resolved.
Flat4online is very popular with customers all over the world Sebastien, when a problem happens, I do try my very best to solve it there and then for the customer, but when I cant resolve the problem quickly enough this is when it will reach the forum.
Ive spoke to other large suppliers in the US to see if they had the same problem, one very well known supplier from the US that I deal with regularly used to have problems with orders going missing and damaged, he now only ships via UPS.
He says he lost some customers becuase of not offering free delivery any more, but the strong delivery with UPS has grown his business very much, so im considering going down this route also.
Please let me know your thoughts, or if you think I havent explained anything or general feedback would be greatly received.
Best regards
Scott
